Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) is a four-year undergraduate professional program designed to equip students with industry-relevant skills in hospitality management, food production, catering technology, housekeeping, front office operations, and hotel administration. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical training to prepare students for successful careers in the hospitality and tourism industry. - Minimum Qualification Required: 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board/university
- Minimum Marks Required: 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved category candidates). Eligibility criteria may vary from one college to another.
- Age Limit: The age limit for the BHMCT program varies from college to college. In most colleges, the age limit is up to 22 years.
BHMCT Admission Process
Admission to the BHMCT course is provided on the basis of entrance exams. The national-level entrance exam conducted for BHMCT admissions is NCHMCT JEE (National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam). The NCHMCT JEE (also known as NCHM JEE) is indeed the primary national-level entrance examination for admission to the Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) and other affiliated hotel management institutes across India. The score of NCHM JEE is also accepted for admission by many other colleges. Some institutions may also offer direct admission based on Class 12 merit.
